“I just continue thinking. Time is important. This is slow architecture”
Japanese Sejima is known for her clean lines, cubes and boxes. She works with shiny surfaces, transparency and materials such as metal, marble and glass. Her creations give space for interaction around it and we admire her for bringing nature and surroundings really, really close.
She is poetic and she speaks less than she thinks. W Magazine writes in an article about her: “Unlike many successful women, whose personalities show the strain of achieving prominence in a male-dominated culture, Sejima is unhistrionic, empathetic, and warmly gracious”.
We chose to name our most simple bag with the cleanest of lines after the amazing Kazuyo Sejima.
The Sejima bag is no longer in production but was a simple version of the Bo Bardi bag.
